| Albert Frobisher was born in the mining town of Castleford, West Yorkshire. Married and lived on Pinfold Lane in Methley, West Yorkshire, a small village about 3 miles from his birthplace. | |

He enlisted in the 'Pals' during the early part of 1915 and served in Colsterdale, Egypt and France. One of the fortunate few, survived the Battle of the Somme (1st July 1916) but was later wounded by a German trench raiding party on the 20th August 1916. He died of these wounds two days later. |
