Frank Brodie and Douglas Freeman Agutter were the eldest of three sons and a daughter born to Edwin Freeman and May Margaret Agutter of 6, Street Lane, moortown, Leeds.
Both brothers joined the Pals on the 3rd of September 1914, serving together in number 3 platoon of A company in Colsterdale Egypt and France.
Douglas was discharged on the 6th of July 1917 as medically unfit, this was due to wounds received on the 1st of July 1916.
Frank who had volunteered and been accepted underage was discharged after the war ended on the 2nd of April 1919.
